Big Weekend Ahead In The Football Championships For Local Teams

It is another big weekend for the Laois footballers who are the road this Saturday when they make the long trip North to face Derry in Round 2 of the All Ireland Qualifiers.

the match is in Owenbeg at 5pm.

Jack Cooney’s Westmeath footballers are also in action on Saturday when they are at home to Limerick at TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar at 6pm and then on Sunday Offaly also have a home tie when they face Sligo at Bord na Mona O’Connor Park in Tullamore at 2pm.

 

The Electric Ireland Minor Football semi-finals are this weekend.

On Friday night Laois face Kildare at O’Moore Park at 8pm and then on Saturday at a quarter to 4 Westmeath face Dublin at TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar.

 

In the Leinster U-20 football championship first round on Saturday at Netwatch Dr Cullen Park it’s Carlow v Offaly at a quarter to two.
