Clonkill Defeat Castlepollard, Westmeath’s All-Ireland Camogie Semi Final Details Confirmed

Clonkill have their first win of this year’s Slevin Coaches Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship.

Former Westmeath forward Brendan Murtagh scored 2-8 as they beat Castlepollard by 3-18 to 1-12 at T-E-G Cusack Park last night.

The sides are now joint-second in group one with one win, one loss and one draw each from their opening three matches.

There’s three more games at seven-thirty this evening.

Holders Raharney take on Lough Lene Gaels at Cusack Park.

St Brigid’s face Saint Oliver Plunkett’s at Castletown Geoghegan.

And group two leaders Delvin go up against Brownstown at Clonkill.

Drumlane in Cavan will host Westmeath’s Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Semi-Final against Armagh this Saturday.

The game will have a 5pm throw-in time and we’ll have updates on In Play here on Midlands 103.

Westmeath won group one of the Championship with a 100 per cent record while Armagh finished second to Kerry in group two.
