Leinster’s Sean Cronin is expected to be passed fit for tomorrow’s Heineken Champions Cup final in Newcastle.

The hooker – who is the joint-top try scorer in this year’s competition with 6 – has been sidelined with a calf injury since the champions’ semi final win against Toulouse three weeks ago.

It’s reported he’ll be named in the team this afternoon, when it’s confirmed by head coach Leo Cullen.

Athlone man and Leinster centre Robbie Henshaw says only their best will do against the two-time champions:

The curtain raiser for the finals weekend in Newcastle is the Challenge Cup final.

It’s an all French affair, as Clermont take on La Rochelle.

They kick off tonight at 7.45pm in Newcastle.

Meanwhile, tournament organisers have confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium will host the 2021 finals weekend.
