Daithi Regan Apologizes for Poorly Timed Offaly Tweet

Former Offaly hurler Daithi Regan has apologized for comments he made about the Offaly camp in the lead up to their final Joe McDonagh Cup game against Kerry last Saturday.

The 1998 All Ireland winner tweeted on Friday his disgust at the Treatment of young hurler Kevin Dunne and had hoped the current management set up would step aside following the relegation clash with the Kingdom.

The Birr clubman admitted the timing of his tweet was wrong and that he had great respect for Joachim Kelly despite his annoyance at the county’s current status.
