Written 1 year ago by Will O'Callaghan
Former Liverpool and Denmark defender Daniel Agger has retired from professional football at 31.
He says recent years struggling with injury have been “difficult” – but that he’s proud of his career.
Agger spent eight years at Liverpool after signing for £6m in 2006, before moving back to his boyhood club Brondby two years ago- which turned out to be his final move.
The Dane played 232 times for Liverpool and was a Capital One Cup winner in 2012.
He also represented his country 71 times across 11-years.
