It’s the Girls Boxing Finals weekend at the National Stadium in Dublin.

On Friday afternoon in the girls 1 category, Edenderry’s Keisha O’Connor faces Holly Connolly from Ballaghaderreen in the 31-kilos semi-finals.

Sophie Loonam of the St Carthage’s club in Rahan has a 42kg bout against Urlingford’s Jessica Leahy.

Birr’s Alex Kinahan goes up against Kaci Crowley of Erne in the 44-kilos semi-finals while Cloghan’s Labhaoise Glynn takes on Whitechurch’s Kacie Delaney in the 48kg’s last-four.

Kathlyn Recks from Clara has a 57kg premilinary round bout in girls 2 against Castlebar’s Cora Leigh Gallagher while Recks’ clubmate Chelsea Buckley Dunne faces Denise Campion of the Marble City club at 57-kilos in girls 4.

On Saturday, Katie Reynolds from Athlone, St Carthage’s Nicole Buckley, Edenderry’s Lauren Kelly and Mary Nevin Daly of Clara will all win their weight classes unopposed.

Janalin Rodin of Portlaoise awaits a winner from the girls 3 42-kilos semi-finals.

Chelsea McNamee of the Olympic Club in Mullingar faces Erin Moore of St Francis in the 75kg final.

Chelsea’s clubmate Leah McNamee will be in the ring against Nicole O’Sullivan of St Bernadettes in the girls 2 50kg final.

There’s an all Midlands final in the girl 4 48kg as Mary Kate Nevin from Elite Mullingar takes on St Brigid’s Edenderry’s Sarah Edge.

And Rochfortbridge’s Rebecca Nolan has a girls 6 50kg final versus Chloe O’Keefe from Kanturk in the Saturday evening session.
