Huge Night Ahead For Irish In Denmark

The Republic of Ireland face their biggest test yet in the Euro 2020 qualification campaign when they play Denmark in Copenhagen tonight (kick off 7.45).

Mick McCarthy’s side are very familiar with tonight’s opponents having met competitively four times in the past two years including holding the Danes scoreless on three occasions. The other meeting was a 5-1 loss in the second leg of their World Cup Play Off in Dublin in 2017

Captain Seamus Coleman says the players must approach the game with a positive mindset.

The Irish Under-21s were in action last night as they played out a 0-0 draw against Mexico’s U-22s at the Toulon Tournament in France.

The result leaves the Boys in Green top of the table and a win over Bahrain in their final group game on Sunday should seal a spot in the semi-finals.
