John Joe Nevin’s comeback fight has been cancelled.

The Olympic silver medalist from Mullingar was due to compete on a card in London tonight but his opponent has not been cleared to box.

Nevin has fought just twice since November 2015 and was hoping to make it nine wins from nine as a professional.

The ‘Mullingar Shuffler’ says his promoter is now trying to get him on cards in London and Belfast in the next month.
