Laois Into Leinster U-20 Football Final

Written 1 week ago by Sport Midlands

The hugely sucessful Laois GAA summer continued last night at O’Moore Park when the counties’ U-20 footballers defeated Meath by 1-13 to 0-7 in the Eirgrid Leinster semi-final.

Alan Kinsella’s goal in the first half helped the O’Moore County to a 1-8 to 0-3 half time lead and they never looked back after that.

Here’s a delighted Laois team manager Billy O’Loughlin:

Laois will now play Dublin in the Leinster final in O’Connor Park on Friday week

The Dubs beat Wexford in the other semi-final last night by 1-17 to 0-6.

In the Munster U-20 hurling semi-final Tipperary beat Waterford by 3-23 to 0-10.

Tonight Cork take on Clare in the other Munster semi-final in Tralee at 7.30pm

The Connacht U-20 football final also takes place tonight between Galway and Mayo in Tuam at 7.30pm.
