Laois star Ross Munnelly says that the overcrowded fixture list did not help Mayo in their All-Ireland semi-final at the weekend against Dublin.
The O’Moore County attacker says that the fact that Mayo had to play so many difficult qualifier game meant that they eventually ran out of legs against The Dubs:
While Laois Team manager Eddie Brennan has been criticising the price of All-Ireland Final tickets on social media.
Brennan says the costs are shocking, that there are youngsters who have attended all the games are going to get nailed for ninety euro when the corpo brigade turn up.
The price of a ticket ten years ago was €70, meaning this year’s fee will be almost a 30% increase.
He thinks that the GAA should introduce 3 or 4 price categories for the finals to cater for the grass roots.
