Laois Have Four Points To Spare Against Offaly In McDonagh Cup

It was Laois who ended up with the bragging rights in the Joe McDonagh Cup after a well contested derby on Saturday night at Bord na Mona O’Connor Park.

Eddie Brennan’s men prevailed by four points 4-22 to 3-21 in a high-scoring encounter.

In the second round of the Electric Ireland Leinster MHC on Saturday Kilkenny were the easy winners against Offaly 5-29 to 1-9. Laois beat Antrim by 6-20 1-14 and Kildare beat Westmeath 1-19 to 2-10.
