Leinster Under 21 Hurling Quarter Finals This Evening
Written 5 months ago by Will O'Callaghan
It’s quarter-final night in the Bord Gais Energy Leinster under-21 Hurling Championship.
There’s a Midlands derby at TEG Cusack Park with Westmeath hosting Laois.
The Lake County have been forced into one change from their win over Meath last week, with Paddy Lynam in for the injured Niall Mitchell in attack.
Laois are able to call up on senior players Leigh Bergin, Lee Cleare, Fonzie O’Connell, John Lennon, Mark Kavanagh, Ryan Mullaney, Jack Kelly, Aidan Corby, Aaron Dunphy, Sean Downey and Eanna Lyons.
Last year’s beaten finalists Offaly travel to Wexford Park to face Wexford with nine of last year’s panel starting.
They include Podge Guinan, Ben Conneely and Oisin Kelly – who all started the weekend win at Westmeath in the Leinster Senior Championship.
We’ll have updates from both games this evening on Midlands 103 with full online commentary from Cusack Park on midlands103.dot-com.
Our coverage is with thanks to Hugo Loonam Motors, Cloghan – the home of Citreon, Peugeot and Suzuki in the Midlands.
