Lowry Flying High At Canadian Open

Offaly’s Shane Lowry is the best placed Irishman going into round two of the Canadian Open.

The Clara native is on 6 under par after an opening round score of 64, one shot behind the leader Keegan Bradley of the USA.

Graeme McDowell  also carded an impressive round and is one further back on 5 under, while Rory McIlroy is 3 under. Seamus Power is even par and Padraig Harrington is 1 over.

Lowry is due to tee off for his second round shortly after 6 pm Irish time.
