Shane Lowry is down eleven-places to 32nd in the new World golf rankings.

The Clara man slips outside the top-30 ahead of the Masters after missing the cut at the Shell Houston Open on Friday night.

Having not made the weekend, Lowry headed straight to Augusta to get in extra preparation for the first major of the year.

Jason Day remains at number one with defending Masters champion Jordan Spieth in second and Rory McIlroy the top Irishman in third.

Graeme McDowell is Lowry’s chief rival to secure a place alongside McIlroy on the Irish team for the Olympics and sits in 63rd.
