Mullingar Lock Mark Flanagan Signs For Saracens

Former Leinster lock Mark Flanagan has signed a two-year contract with reigning AVIVA Premiership champions Saracens.

The Mullingar-native has impressed for Bedford in the English second-tier after signing from Mont-de-Marson this season and joins Schalk Burger, Alex Lozowski and Save Rawaca in signing for Sarries.

26-year-old Flanagan has been capped up to Ireland Under-20s level and is also eligible to represent England, he’s delighted to join the Champions Cup finalists:

“Joining Saracens is fantastic opportunity for me. Sarries have a proven track record of developing players and I can’t wait to get started next season. I’ve really enjoyed my time at Bedford Blues and I’m grateful for the support they have shown me but I’m really looking forward to be joining such a fantastic club.”
