O’Brien Back As Schmidt Picks Strong Team For Pumas Clash

Written 3 months ago by Newsroom

Irish rugby coach Joe Schmidt has named a much changed team for Saturday’s November Test against Argentina at Lansdowne Road.

Sean O’Brien returns to the starting 15 for the first time in over 12 months.

Jordan Larmour at full back, and Jacob Stockdale on the wing are the only Irish players to retain their places from last weekend’s win against Italy in Chicago.

Athlone’s Robbie Henshaw resumes his centre partnership with Bundee Aki.

Rory Best will captain the team from hooker and Johnny Sexton and Kieran Marmion will form the half-back partnership.

James Ryan and Iain Henderson will play in the second row with Devin Toner on the bench.

The full Irish team is:
