Offaly Chairman Hits Back At Critics Over Martin Removal

Written 3 months ago by Midlands Sport

The Chairman of Offaly County board of the GAA Tommy Byrne has replied to his critics following the replacement of Kevin Martin as the senior hurling team manager on Monday evening.

The Chairman says that following the two recent championship defeats he felt the board simply had to act but it was a very difficult decision:

The interim Offaly manager Joachim Kelly met with the players for the first time last night at training.

The new manager’s backroom team was also unveiled yesterday evening, with former stars Paddy Kirwan, Ger Oakley, and Brian Carroll have been brought in as selectors.
