Offaly Draw But Defeats For Laois And Westmeath In Celtic Challenge Cup

There were mixed results for the Midlands counties in the Under-17 Hurling Celtic Challenge tournament last night.
Offaly drew 3-13 to 2-16 against Dublin Plunkett in Birr in Group C but there were defeats for Westmeath and Laois.
Westmeath, who are also in Group C, lost 1-15 to 1-12 against Meath at Cusack Park for what was their second defeat in as many games.
Laois have one win and one loss to date in Group B following their 2-15 to 2-13 loss to Dublin Pearse at O’Toole Park.
Laois’ next game in the Celtic Challenge is against North Wexford at Rathdowney at 7.30pm next Wednesday (May 25th).
Offaly travel to Trim to face Meath at the same time while Westmeath are away to Group C leaders Dublin Clarke.
