Offaly Welcome Back Four Players For Leinster Senior Football Championship

Offaly football manager Pat Flanagan will has welcomed four players back to his panel ahead of next month’s Leinster Senior Championship clash with Westmeath at O’Connor Park.
The Irish Mirror reports that former captains Niall McNamee and Paul McConway and midfielder Ruairi Allen have returned to training with the squad while Anton Sullivan will re-join the group when the completes a UN Tour of the Lebannon next week.
Star forward McNamee sat out the Faithful’s Division Three League campaign while 2015 skipper McConway is back after recovering from a knee-injury suffered while playing for Tullamore.
While the Tullamore club didn’t hold a vote over whether to negotiate with Offaly GAA over the potential sale of naming rights for O’Connor Park.
There was confusion at Friday’s meeting over who was eligible to take part in the ballot.
It’s believed that Offaly County Board aleady have a sponsor lined up but need agreement from landlords Tullamore.
