Pat Gilroy Confirmed As Dublin Hurling Manager

Written 3 weeks ago by Newsroom

Pat Gilroy is the man tasked with rebuilding Dublin hurling.

The 2011 All Ireland winning football manager has been appointed as Ger Cunningham’s successor on a three-year term.

He is expected to be assisted by former Galway hurling and Garrycastle football manager Anthony Cunningham.

Dublin have struggled to build on the progress made under Anthony Daly.

They contested the Leinster final four times in five years and won the title in 2011, but were relegated from Division 1A of the Allianz Hurling League in April.
