Plenty Of Irish Interest On Both Sides Of The Atlantic This Weekend

This weekend on the PGA tour there are four Irish competitors at the Zurich Classic in Florida.

Clara’s Shane Lowry will be hoping to build on his third place from last week. He tees off his first round tomorrow at 10 past 7 Irish time.

Padraig Harrington, Seamus Power, and Graeme McDowell are alwao in the field.

On the European Tour the Hassan Trophy takes place at Dar-Es-Salam and paul Dunne, Michael Hoey and Gavin Moynihan will be in the field.



Ian Poulter is set to play the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Lahinch this summer, in what will be his first appearance in the Republic of Ireland in 13 years.

The Englishman, who has won five of the six Ryder Cups at which he’s competed, is playing the tournament for the first time since Portstewart in 2017.

Poulter joins major winners Padraig Harrington, Danny Willett and Graeme McDowell, former world number one Lee Weswood and defending champion Russell Knox in the field.

Three of the current top five players on the Race to Dubai – Shane Lowry, Justin Harding and Louis Oosthuizen – will also tee it up in Clare this July.
