Four years after a financial crisis and liquidation demoted Rangers to the fourth tier – they’re back in the Scottish top flight.

A 1-nil victory over Dumbarton won them promotion to the Premiership and secured the Championship title last night.

Manager Mark Warburton says it’s been tough for fans.

Captain Lee Wallace says the supporters deserve the success.

Celtic’s lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership is now five points – after a goalless draw at Dundee.

Partick Thistle boosted their chances of a top six finish with a 1-nil win over bottom side Dundee United.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila says Rangers’ return to the Scottish top flight is good for the Premiership.
