Written 1 year ago by Will O'Callaghan

Combined Counties Football League Senior Division leaders St Peter’s have a dream fixture in the second-round of the Daily Mail FAI Cup tonight.

The Athlone men make the trip to Turner’s Cross to face League of Ireland heavyweights Cork City.

St Peter’s moved a step closer to wrestling the CCFL Senior title from their rivals Willow Park with a 5-0 win at Mountmellick on Wednesday night.

That victory saw Peter’s go five-points clear at the top.

There’s seven other games in the competition tonight.

Bohemians will host Galway United at Dalymount Park in the only all top-flight affair.

Both Dundalk and Derry City will both be wary of potential upsets as they play host to Shelbourne and Drogheda United respectively.

UCD are at home to Bray while Waterford host Longford.

Those six games all get underway at 7.45

There’s also two 8pm kick-offs with non-league sides hoping for shocks.

Firhouse host Wexford Youths while Midleton make the trip to Shamrock Rovers.

Athlone Town host beaten FAI Intermediate Cup finalists Letterkenny Celtic tomorrow night.

A group of Town supporters are organising a boycott outside the ground ahead of that one as they call for changes at board level.

Edenderry Town and Mullingar Athletic are both in action in the Leinster Senior League this evening.

Edenderry travel to Newbridge for a top of the table clash in Senior Division One A.

Newbridge are five-points ahead of their opponents at the summuit with two games in hand.
Third place Mullingar Athletic are hoping to end a run of three games without a win when they travel on Sunday Major leaders Inchicore.

Both matches kick off at 8pm.
