Tigris River Gives Geraghty First Success In Galway Hurdle
Written 3 months ago by Will O'Callaghan
Tigris River provided Barry Geraghty, who returned from injury on Monday, with his first victory in the Guinness Galway Hurdle after denying the game Swamp Fox in the highlight of the festival.
Two lengths down coming to the last, Tigris River, who had been laid out for the race by Joseph O’Brien after finishing fifth in last year’s contest, was stoked up by Geraghty to just nail Swamp Fox, who had also been beaten on the line earlier in the week.
He was winning in the colours of JP McManus.
