Transfer Spending Shows Big Decrease
Written 2 months ago by Midlands Sport
The early summer transfer deadline in the Premier League has seen a drop in spending for the first time since 2010.
Figures released by Deloitte show clubs paid out an estimated 1.23 billion pounds before the window closed – down 2 hundred million pounds on the same period last year.
Everton took their transfer spending past 270 million in the last 12 months after making three late additions.
Tottenham became the first side in Premier League history not to make a summer signing since the transfer window began in 2003.
