Walters Misses Main Training Session For Ireland
Written 2 months ago by Newsroom
Jon Walters was unable to train fully with the Republic of Ireland squad in Abbotstown this morning.
The Burnley striker took part in the warm up but missed the main session in order to work with a physiotherapist.
Walters is suffering with an ankle injury, but manager Martin O’Neil says he will give him every chance to play in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Georgia in Tbilisi.
Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood trained in the gym today as he continues to recover from a heavily bruised knee.
Aiden McGeady and David McGoldrick are due to link up with the squad later today.
