Wins For Portlaoise, Mullingar, Longford, Edenderry And Midland Warriors

Mullingar have cut the gap at the bottom of Division One B to three-points with a 17-14 home win over Coolmine.

Portlaoise jumped up 6th on the back of a 33-29 vicory against North Kildare at Togher.

Longford have a four-point lead at the top of Division Two A and look set to make a swift return to the second-flight.

They beat Midlands rivals Portarlington by 58-points to nil yesterday.

Edenderry inflicted more woe on basement side Roscrea, winning 25-3 at Streamstown.

Roscrea are now 10-points behind 6th place Portarlington.

It’s now three games without a win for Birr in Division Two B – they were edged out 27-23 by Wexford.

The Midland Warriors lead Division Three after a 36-12 victory at Garda.

It’s nine wins from nine for Tullamore in Division One of the Leinster women’s league.

Last year’s Division Two champions are 16-points clear at the top after a 12-11 win over Rathdrum at Spollanstown.

Third place Edenderry lost out 14-0 to Old Belvedere while Mullingar were handed a walkover by Railway Union.
