Community Employment (CE) Scheme Supervisor

CCDA  Clg is currently recruiting for the position of Community Employment (CE) scheme supervisor.  Our CE scheme is largely environmental and operates from our community centre in Clonaslee.  Funding is provided by the Irish Government through the Department of Social Protection (DSP).  The successful candidate will report to our Board of Directors and adhere to the various guidelines and policies for CE set down by the  DSP.  

The ideal candidate  must have:

At least three years direct supervisory experience.

A third level qualification – a NFQ major award at Level 6 or higher in HR, supervisory management, business/financial administration, human resources, project management or related disciplines .

Proven IT and administrative skills – payroll, MS Excel, MS Word, internet and e-mail.

Good oral and written communication skills.

A full clean driving licence and use of a car.

Desirable qualities/experience:

Experience of working with people to enhance their lives by, for example, identifying, planning and organising training, work experience placement, volunteering or similar.

Knowledge of community development and sourcing grant aided funding.

Experience of working with local and regional agencies such as Laois County Council, PPN, Laois Partnership etc.

The chosen candidate will operate from Clonaslee Community Centre 

CE hours of work are full time 39 hours per week (every week) excluding lunch breaks: Monday – Friday – some flexibility will be required from time to time.  The contract of employment is subject to renewal  on a yearly basis and is subject to  DSP approval and grant funding.  The salary is in accordance with the  DSP grant funding scale  for such a position.
