Midland’s Gail Conway paid a visit to Mullingar Elite Boxing Club to speak to them about their passion for their club and the issues that they may face once the owners of the premises sell the venue on and leave them potentially without a home for their club.

Recently we’ve heard of Olympic Boxing Club and their similar issue from owner Derek Sheridan and both clubs share the same premises which is Columb Barracks in Mullingar.

‘Its gonna be a shame really because they’ll have no where to train – gonna have no boxing club and they’ll be back out on the streets’.

The club shares the same sentiment amongst the members that they are dedicated to their club and joining another one just isn’t a viable resolution to the potential threat of losing their venue.
