Mother and Pup Reunited After Abusive Ordeal in Laois

Written 4 months ago by Angel Croitor

We have some good news on the six drowned puppies as the only surviving one has been reunited with his mother seemingly. The only puppy to have survived has been named Splash by Cara Rescue Dogs who tell the remarkable story of mother, Clara, and son reunited in their care.

A Collie, who was described to have looked as if she’s had a recent litter, was found near the Ferbane area and brought to the attention of our Missing Pets page through which Karla Mitchell, co-founder of Cara Rescue Dogs in Laois, and her crew discovered the probable mother of Splash.

The touching video can be seen on the FB post below as mum and son are reunited once more after their terrible ordeal.

‘We want the person who owned her and the pups to know for a fact we will find you, dont think you’ve gotten away with what you’ve done because folks, we are onto you’.

Cara Rescue Dogs vows to take action against the person who took to throwing the pups into a fertiliser bag and drowning the majority of them in the River Brosna.

If you’d like to donate to their cause you can do so by checking out the details on the Facebook post below.
