3,500 Students In Midlands To Receive Junior Cert Results

Over 3,500 students across the Midlands will receive their Junior Cert results this morning.

The overall number sitting the exams across the country rose by 2.3 per cent this year to more than 61,500.

Results from the reformed English Junior Cycle combine exam results with continual assessment marks.

This year also sees the first time students will receive a Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement.

It records both their exam grades, the outcome of other assessments during the Junior Cycle and other achievements in non curricular activities such as sport, debating or community projects.
