Gardai in Portlaoise are urging the public to report any information about the resale of power drills after a burglary at a hardware store in Mountrath.

A number of Dewalt drills were taken after access was gained to Telford’s Hardware on Main Street at some time between 3:30am and 4am this morning.

Gardai are currently analysing CCTV footage of the incident, and are appealling to the public for any suspicious activity in the area at the time.

Anybody who is offered a drill for resale is asked to pass on details to Portlaoise Garda Station at 057 86 74100
