Over Sixty Patients On Hospital Trolleys In The Midlands Today

Latest trolley figures from the INMO reveal over sixty patients are affected by hospital overcrowding across the region today.

Thirty-five of those are awaiting admission at Tullamore Hospital where the HSE’s escalation policy remains in place, urging people to attend their GP or Midoc service where possible.

Elsewhere a further nineteen patients are without a bed at Mullingar Hospital, along with ten in Portlaoise.

Nationally, there are 544 patients waiting for admission today.
