Case Of €550,000 Drugs Seizure In Laois Adjourned

The two defendants will appear before the courts again in July.

The case of two Laois residents arrested for possessing drugs valued at €550,000 has been adjourned until July. 

It's to allow time for the prosecution to obtain directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions as to how to proceed with the case.

Christopher Carroll with an address at 7 Seskin Court, Portarlington and Fiona Sutton with an address at 82 Rossvale Portlaoise both aged 36 are being remanded on bail until their next court date. 

They were appearing in Portlaoise District Court today charged with having the drugs for the purpose of sale or supply when Gardai made the seizure on April 8th.
