Extension To Westmeath Hotel Put On Hold

It would see the addition of 60 new rooms.

Plans for the extension of a Westmeath Hotel have been put on hold, as the local authority has requested further information.

The Annebrook House Hotel in Mullingar is seeking planning permission for a four-storey expansion to the existing building.

That would see the addition of a new breakfast room, extended bar area and 60 rooms.

They would also make alterations to an adjoining premises to include a connection to the hotel and a single storey extension.

Westmeath County Council had been due to make a decision on the development this week.
