Her body was discovery yesterday.
Gardaí are investigating after a woman's body was discovered in Offaly.
The body of the woman, who is believed to be middle-aged, was found at the Grand Canal, along the Sragh Road in Tullamore, yesterday.
Her body has since been removed to Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore where a post-mortem will take place, which Gardaí say the results of will the determine the course of the investigation.
They also say they're looking at all circumstances.
