A man in Westmeath narrowly escaped injury this morning after his car burst into flames.
The incident took place at around 7.40am on the M6 Eastbound at Junction 4 Tyrrellspass.
Gardai and emergency services attended the scene with traffic reduced to a single lane.
The road has since been cleared.
