Midlands TD Defends Government's Record On Housing

Rental costs in Laois increased by 14% at the end of last year.

A midlands TD is defending the Government's record on housing.

It follows a new report from the Residential Tenancies Board, which found rental prices in Laois rose by 14% in the final quarter of last year.

In Westmeath, rental costs jumped by 3.9% and Offaly was the only county in the region to see a fall, decreasing by 5%.
