The IFA says changes to certain EU emission targets shows farmers are being listened to.
The EU Commission says emissions need to be cut by 90% compared to 1990 levels.
However, an updated roadmap on how to achieve these reductions by 2040 no longer features a 30% cut on gases related to farming, including methane and nitrogen.
Farmers held protests last Thursday against EU targets for the agriculture sector.
