This comes following major changes to the country's speed limits.
Speed limits could be dropped to 10 kilometres per hour, but enforcement remains the problem.
They're the words of Roscommon Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice, speaking after the Junior Transport Minister revealed major changes to the country's speed limits.
Some national secondary roads will drop from 100 to 80 kilometres per hour, Rural and local roads will see a decrease from 80 to 60, while limits in residential areas, towns and cities would fall to 30.
