A Offaly carer has been left with an "insulting" amount of carer's allowance, after appealing it being cut off earlier this year.
Anne Murray, from Cushina, cares for her daughter Rachael, who has Floating Harbour Syndrome, leaving her unable to feed, clothe or take care of herself.
She has now been granted €6 a week from the state, after she was told she was no longer entitled to her carer's allowance after over 20 years due to her husband's income.
She was previously getting €236.
