Prices in county Laois seem to have stayed steady, but remain the highest in the region.
The median price of a home in the midlands is over €247,000, according to the CSO, showing a rise of €3,500 since February 2024.
The most expensive dwellings in the region are in Laois, with a median price of €255,000 in March of this year, staying the same as the month prior.
That's followed closely by Westmeath at €252,000 and in Offaly, a house could set you back €236,000, both counties seeing a slight increase from February.
In March, Revenue recorded just over 3,300 dwelling purchases by households across the country, which is a fall of almost 20% when compared to the same month last year.
