Laois And Westmeath Suffer Defeats In National Ladies Football League

Offaly had a comfortable victory over Kilkenny.

It was a mixed weekend for midlands counties in the National Ladies Football League over the weekend. 

Westmeath played out an entertaining clash with Tyrone, but fell to a 4-15 to 6-6 defeat in Division Two. 

Cara McNamee was the top scorer with 2-0 for the winners. 

In Division Three, Laois fell short in their match with Down as the Ulster outfit left the midlands with a 2-14 to 1-13 win. 

And in Division Four, Offaly made it two wins from three games as they defeated Kilkenny by 5-19 to 0-2 on Sunday. 

Westmeath and Laois return to action this weekend, while Offaly have this week off.
