Laois, Offaly And Westmeath County Champions Hit The Road For Leinster Competitions

Here's a round-up of what's coming up.

We've reached a very fun stage in the GAA season where clubs of all levels take to the roads and match themselves with the county champions at their level across the province. 

It's a fantastic additional prize for any county champion and the highlight of many a club career. 

The early stages of competitions in both codes got underway last weekend with Trumera of Laois picking up a win over Longford Slashers in the junior hurling championship. 

This coming weekend sees a number of teams make their bow and here's a look at dates times and venues so you can keep abreast of all the action: 

Saturday:

Intermediate Football Championship Round 1

St. Brigid's Killashee (Longford) v Clara - 1pm - Pearse Park, Longford.

Naomh Eoin (Carlow) v Park-Ratheniska - 1pm - Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow. 

Junior Football Championship Round 1

Clonbullogue v Legan Sarsfields (Longford) - 1pm - Gracefield, Offaly.

Barrowhouse v Grange (Carlow) - 1pm - Stradbally, Laois. 

Intermediate Hurling Championship Round 1

Cullion v Ballinakill - 1pm - TEG Cusack Park, Westmeath.

Sunday: 

Senior Football Championship Round 1

Naas (Kildare) v Tullamore - 1pm - Newbridge, Kildare.
