Micheal Milne Named On The Bench For Ireland's Six Nations Opener

Ireland get their campaign underway away to France this Thursday.

Offaly's Michael Milne has missed out on a starting place for Ireland's Six Nations opener against France.

The Birr prop has to make do with a place on the bench after Andy Farrell decided to select Milne's Munster team mate Jeremy Loughman for Thursday's trip to Paris.

Cormac Izuchukwu has missed out on a place on the match day squad.

Brothers Sam and Cian Prendergast will start for Ireland in Thursday's Six Nations opener against France in Paris.

Sam is set to line out at fly-half, while Cian is included in the back row alongside Josh van der Flier and Caelan Doris.

Jacob Stockdale has been selected to play on the left wing and Jamie Osborne is named at full back.

There's a 6-2 split on the bench but Tadhg Furlong is not in the matchday squad as he continues his recovery from a calf injury.
