Lorraine speaks about the importance of branding and how a customer centred approach will see start-ups flourish. Pat O Toole from the Irish Farmers Journal speaks about rewetting of farmland and how Minister McConalogue has stated that Ireland's rewetting targets up to 2050 can be achieved on state lands. However, the question as to how this will affect neighbouring lands has yet to be answered by the government. Joanne Bowers speaks about how the Irish Shorthorn Association are running a marketing campaign called "Breed a Roan" and that they are giving away five free AI straws to farmers across the country as part of the strategy. Westmeath based shorthorn breeder Amelda Leonard speaks about her family's journey with shorthorn cattle and how their customers span both the dairy and beef industries. Colin Duffy from Ballinahown Co. Westmeath speaks about an Irish Angus Cattle Society Youth Development event this weekend in Tullamore where young handlers will be educated in all areas of showing cattle.
