Country Life with MJ Clery

Thursday, 21 December 2023 - 45 minutes

The last show of 2023 sees MJ chat to Darren Carty from the Irish Farmers Journal about what payments are still outstanding for farmers as the year comes to a close. Laois man Eoin Lowry, Head of Agri with Bank of Ireland chats about their new Enviroflex loan which is currently being offered to Kerry milk suppliers. It sees farmers receive a lower interest rate loan if they farm in a more sustainable manner. With interest rates up to 2% less than standard offerings it is certainly something that is worth considering. Eoin also gives his views on interest rates for the coming year and where he expects them to be. PJ Lynam from the Tullamore Tractor Run pops into studio to chat about the annual fundraising event.
