The 14th JFK 50 Mile Challenge will take place next month.
The committee is urging people to sign up for the unique fundraiser in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, LARCC and Palliative care.
The event is based on the idea of President John F. Kennedy, in his bid to bring America back to physical fitness.
The US President challenged soldiers to complete 50 miles in under 20 hour in 1963.
The route passes passes through Westmeath, Meath and Cavan.
