The Big Story

Tuesday, 5 August 2025 - 15 minutes

A new advocacy and support group for survivors of sexual assault crimes is being launched in the midlands.

Éist – Saying No to Silence, in Mullingar, will help survivors and ensure they have access to the care, support and justice they need.

One of the co-founders is Hazel Behan, who says she was raped by the prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann case.

The Mullingar woman has been fighting for over 20 years for justice.

She's been speaking with Aidan Barry on Midlands Today.
