Your Day by Day Schedule:

Board our luxury Ardcavan Coach from your designated pick-up points and travel to The Clayton Hotel Sligo where we will stay for the next four nights. After getting settled in we relax with some dinner.

Day 2:

Start your morning with a hearty breakfast before taking the coach on the breath-taking tour of Mullaghmore, the Glencar Waterfall and Lake, Benbulben and Yeats’ Grave.

We relax and unwind in Lissadell House in the afternoon. Described as “austere in the extreme”, Lissadell House is a Greek Revival style detached nine-bay, two story over basement mansion, the last one in this style to be built in Ireland. Constructed of Ballysadare limestone with finely jointed ashlar walling.  Lissadell House was the first country house in Ireland to have an independent gas supply piped into the property.

After our outings we come back to the hotel to enjoy a lovely dinner with some light entertainment.

Day 3:

After a delicious breakfast we begin our trip to Westport where we will go on a cruise of the gorgeous Clew Bay Islands, which include, Seal Colony, Grace O’Malley the Pirate Queen, John Lennon’s Island, Achill Disaster, Inishgort, all while looking out onto Croagh Patrick.

We will head into the town of Westport for a bite to eat before embarking on our guided tour around Westport House. Westport House is one of the few privately-owned historic houses left in Ireland, built in 1730. After the guided tour, take some time to wander the gardens and beautiful scenery of this picturesque House.

Later we return to the hotel for a short rest before dinner.

Day 4:

After a full Irish breakfast, we will travel over to the Céide Fields draped in wild beauty and uniqueness, this remarkable Neolithic site in County Mayo, contains the oldest known stone-walled fields in the world and dates back nearly 6,000 years. Overlooking the mighty Atlantic Ocean, the landscape itself has been forged from the dramatic upheaval and movement of the earth’s crust over millions of years.

After lunch we make our way to Knock Shrine and Museum in beautiful Knock, Co.Mayo. This is Ireland’s famous religious Centre where it is believed that an apparition of Our Lady took place in 1879.

We return to the hotel for our farewell dinner.

 Day 5:

After breakfast we pack our bags and say farewell to this idyllic hotel. We will enjoy some free time in Sligo before we travel across the scenic views Ireland has to offer and make our way back to the original pick-up points.
